Our children's rights exhibition in Wildeshausen

On the International Day Against Exploitative Child Labour, the Deputy Mayor, Ms. Goosmann, will open our exhibition in the Wildeshausen Town Hall.

Worldwide, around 54 million children work under exploitative conditions. More than 10 million of them are between 5 and 11 years old. That alone is reason enough to address children's rights.

But the Wildeshausen Adult Education Center (VHS) was already active beforehand and conducts workshops on children's rights as part of its holiday program, in which we have already assisted twice. So that the children can also visit the exhibition, it is now on display in the town hall until July 15, 2026.

Unfortunately, only a very small but very interested group attended the opening, including representatives from the Wildeshausen newspaper. After the mayor's speech, Regina gave the attendees a more detailed tour of the exhibition. Her reports about her project trips and her collaboration with the international youth network were of particular interest.

And the materials, especially the children's rights primer in simple language and the brand-new brochure on consumption without child labor, also found their buyers.

More copies are available for you to take.

We thank the city for the warm welcome and the opportunity to present the exhibition in the atrium of the town hall.

Both sides want to continue the cooperation.
