The strategic objectives of Terre des Hommes
The Delegates' Conference is one of Terre des Hommes . Every five years, project partners, youth delegates, volunteer members, and staff come together to define the goals that guide our entire work for the following five years.
These so -called strategic goals describe in which areas and fields of work we bundle our forces to fulfill the order of our organization: to enforce their rights worldwide together with children.
By 2028, children and adolescents who are affected by exploitation, violence and exclusion have more access to high -quality and needs -based learning as well as training. These promote their personal development , the ability to resolve peace and human-ranging working and living conditions in order to overcome obstacles to economic, social and political participation.
By 2028, children and adolescents who have gotten back into endangered situations will receive the rights that were withdrawn to them. This is achieved by a coherent transnational program consisting of networked local support structures. The children and adolescents, which are at risk due to migration, have the opportunity to help shape the child -centered program according to their rights and needs and to make their demands locally, national and transnational.
By 2028, children and young people in Terre des Hommes as young environmental activists and organize themselves in civil society networks that encourage community-based solutions to the diverse environmental crises hold political decision-makers accountable to ensure their environmental rights and protection from environmental threats.
By 2028, children and young people will work with Terre des Hommes and partner organizations to combat gender-based rights violations and discrimination . They will demand their gender rights and contribute their local experiences and voices to feminist movements that push for the overcoming of existing structures of oppression , particularly with regard to gender-based rights violations, by challenging patriarchal and binary structures in culture and society as the root cause of gender-based rights violations and discrimination, at the local, national, and international levels.
In addition to the four strategic goals, our delegate conference has defined a central focus theme for Terre des Hommes ' work until 2028:
We realize children's rights through the establishment of democratic societies. With our work, we would like to contribute to preserving and expanding secure and enacting democratic spaces as a basic requirement for the implementation of human and children's rights.
In contrast to the strategic goals, the main topic formulates a comprehensive work order, which is anchored in all fields of work and project regions.
