We participated with a stall at the alternative market "Frühling uffm Willi" (Spring on Willi). No commercial vendors take part in the event; only stalls from social, charitable, and political organizations are represented. In perfect weather on Wilhelmsplatz in Heidelberg's Weststadt district, numerous organizations and associations, from UNICEF to "Kein Schritt nach rechts" (No Step to the Right), demonstrated that despite the current shift to the right, many people are still committed to a more just world and against national isolation.
We offered interested visitors information about Terre des Hommes ' diverse projects around the world and used striking statements to illustrate why a supply chain law is essential for fair trade in this world. Unfortunately, this law was one of the first official acts of our current federal governments to be significantly weakened. Many visitors had a lot of fun with our parachute, on which a symbolic globe could be balanced.
