On February 8, 2025, our event "Water is Life. Clean Water - A Child's Right" took place in the Lüneburg Water Tower. In their presentation, Regina Hewer and Dr. Kerstin Elbig highlighted the impact of inadequate water supply on children and provided an overview of what can be done to ensure reliable access to clean water for all children. In addition to examples from their project work in India, Nepal, Peru, and the Mekong region, they also addressed the responsibility of governments and their national communities to guarantee a sufficient and high-quality water supply. Regina Hewer is a natural scientist and the volunteer chair of the Presidential Board of Terre des Hommes Germany. Kerstin Elbig holds a doctorate in biology and is a science communicator, also volunteering for Terre des Hommes . The second part of the event featured an auction of paintings by the artists Regine Tarara and Jan Netzbandt to benefit Terre des Hommes .
