Children's rights workshop in Wildeshausen

Our guest appearance in the adult education center's holiday program was scheduled for one hour, but it turned into two: the children and lecturers were thrilled.

Twenty children between the ages of 7 and 12 voluntarily explored their rights during the school holidays. We had met the instructors at our sock stall in December, and they spontaneously invited us to join them and share our experiences working with children and young people in the Terre des Hommes project regions.

In addition to some posters from the new children's rights exhibition, we also brought along the predecessor poster "10 important children's rights", the hidden picture puzzles, the word search puzzle on children's rights, and the soil memory game, which the working group on the children's right to a healthy environment developed, and which proved to be an absolute highlight for everyone present.

Previously, the diverse group of children had listened intently to Regina's stories and asked many questions.

Overall, it was a successful afternoon, especially since further cooperation is planned and the VHS now wants to bring the children's rights exhibition to Wildeshausen as well.
