It was a long but also varied day. And finally, we were able to work together again at full strength.
The club mile featured 40 very different clubs: from sports clubs and the fishing club to the museum railway and the broad alliance against right-wing extremism. And we were right in the middle of it all, or rather, on the sidelines of the event.
A variety of performances, from a smoking oven to elaborate children's sports and dance numbers, some accompanied by booming music, were certainly capable of drawing the audience away. But our interactive offerings were small but perfectly formed and definitely attracted the interest of passersby: the children's rights throwing wall, photos of our activities, and especially the scarf we were knitting from both sides simultaneously, prompted many to stop, look, and engage in conversation. Some passersby even spontaneously joined in knitting the scarf.
We had planned to introduce ourselves and seek supporters. Our small "job postings" were well received, two interested parties asked for more information, all the flyers we had with us were gone by the end, and we still managed to collect €23 in the donation box we had brought along (without a big fundraising appeal).
