In Gaza, civilians, and sometimes entire families, are still being killed by bombs every day, including many children. Starving people often search in vain for aid at the few Israeli-controlled distribution points. On September 27, we responded to the call for the "All Eyes on Gaza" rally and took to the streets together with many others. Our demands: End the aid blockade, stop the arms exports, and demand a ceasefire now!
The situation in Gaza
There is an acute famine in Gaza. Humanitarian aid has almost completely collapsed. In addition, houses and infrastructure have been destroyed by bombing, while hunger, disease, and the threat of further displacement threaten survival. Israeli warfare repeatedly exceeds the limits of international law. It is directed not only against armed groups but also deliberately targets the civilian population.
We condemn all war crimes and human rights violations, regardless of whether they are committed by Israeli or Palestinian actors. We believe that international law and human rights apply always and to everyone. However, in light of the mass killings and systematic destruction in Gaza, our primary criticism is directed at the Israeli government and its supporters.
