Bedford delicatessen manufactory donates 31,073 euros

The Bedford delicatessen continues its long-standing commitment to social responsibility and presented Terre des Hommes with a donation check for €31,073. The company's donation will support refugee children and their families. Over the years, the Osnabrück-based company has provided Terre des Hommes

Long-term support for self-help.

Since 2024, current funding has focused on projects for families from Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Practical training in crafts, electrical work, or tailoring opens up opportunities for young people and helps them build independent livelihoods. To date, around 150 small businesses have been established, securing a sustainable and independent income for families. In addition, Bedford is committed to education – from kindergarten places and school supplies to university preparation – so that children and young people can exercise their rights and shape their own futures. "Our vision has always been to create long-term support for self-help, especially for children in war zones and crisis areas. For us, education is clearly the key to a stable future," says Bert Mutsaers, owner of the Bedford delicatessen manufactory.

Terre des Hommes thanks Bedford for its continued support. Following joint projects in Namibia, Angola, Thailand, and Myanmar, this latest funding demonstrates once again how targeted corporate donations can bring about concrete improvements in the lives of children. Together with local partner organizations Terre des Hommes focuses on sustainable, participatory solutions – ensuring that children worldwide are protected and their voices are heard.

"Westphalian Peace Aid for Children"

The successful collaboration between Bedford and Terre des Hommes has resulted in a joint initiative: the "Westphalian Peace Aid – Acting Sustainably Together for Children." It embodies what has motivated us from the beginning: taking responsibility, providing long-term support, and opening up real opportunities for children – beyond individual actions, sustainably and with a firm commitment.
