Information on data processing for visitors of the Facebook channel of Terre des Hommes Germany e.V..

Below, we would like to give you an overview of the types of personal data we process, the purposes for which we process it, and the extent of this processing when you use this fan page. For this fan page, we use the technical platform and services of Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. Please note that you use this fan page and its functions at your own risk. This applies in particular to the use of interactive features (e.g., commenting, sharing, rating, promoting).

1. Competitions
If you participate in one of our competitions (for example, by commenting on a post) that we run on our fan page, we will use your data to determine the winner and contact them via private message. We will use any additional data provided by the winner solely for sending the prize. All personal data of the participants, with the exception of the winner's data, will be deleted after the competition has ended. The winner's data will be deleted after the statutory retention periods have expired. The legal basis for processing your personal data in connection with a prize draw is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

2. Processing of data in the case of service requests – Your inquiries:
If you submit an inquiry to us via a comment directly on our fan page, below one of our posts, or via private message, we process your data (for example, your Facebook name) in order to respond to you and process your request. If we require personal data from you to process your request, we may ask you to send it to us via private message. To protect your data, please do not provide personal data directly in a public comment. Should this nevertheless occur, we will hide the corresponding comment as quickly as possible. We process your data based on our legitimate interest in processing customer inquiries pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
 

3. Analyses and Reporting - Insights
As fan page operators, we have access to so-called Facebook Insights. Facebook Insights is an essential part of a Facebook fan page and contains anonymized statistical data from users who have interacted with our fan page and/or our Facebook content. This data is collected using cookies, which are set by Facebook and each contain a unique user ID. Facebook collects information on the following actions, for example:

• View a Page, post, video, story, or other content associated with a Page • Interact with a story
• Subscribe to or unsubscribe from a Page
• Like or unlike a Page or post •
Recommend a Page in a post or comment
• Comment on, share, or react to a Page post (including the type of reaction)
• Hover over a Page link, name, or profile picture to preview Page content, hide a post, or report it as spam
• Click the website, phone number, "Get Directions" button, or any other button on a Page
• View a Page event, react to an event (including the type of reaction), or click a link for event tickets
• Start a Messenger conversation with the Page
• View or click on items in a Page shop

In addition to the actions themselves, Facebook also collects the following information about the action, you, and the browser used:

• Date and time of the action
• Country/city (estimated based on the IP address or, for logged-in users, from the user profile) • Language code (from the browser's HTTP header and/or language setting)
• Age/gender group (from the user profile, only for logged-in users)
• Previously visited websites (from the browser's HTTP header)
• Whether the action was performed on a computer or a mobile device (from the browser user agent or app attributes)
• Facebook user ID (only for logged-in users).

We do not have access to this information collected by Facebook. As fan page operators, we only receive anonymized statistical analyses and reports from Facebook regarding the collected information.

As the operator of this fan page, we are jointly responsible with Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, for collecting the displayed information about so-called events and aggregating it into anonymized Page Insights provided to us by Facebook. We have therefore entered into a joint controllership agreement with Facebook, which you can access at www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum . By collecting this data and aggregating it into anonymized statistics, we aim to better understand our page visitors and gain insights into which content on our fan page is of interest to our audience. In this way, we want to tailor and optimize our content and information offerings to best meet the needs of our visitors, based on Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter f of the GDPR.

As the provider of the social network, and given that we, as the fan page operator, have no access to the data collected about you within the framework of Facebook Insights, Facebook alone has direct access to the necessary information and can also take any necessary measures and provide information directly. 4. Note on Facebook's identification of visitors:
If you are currently logged into Facebook, a cookie containing your Facebook ID is stored on your device. This allows Facebook to track whether you are a logged-in Facebook user. This also applies to all other Facebook pages. If you wish to avoid this, you should log out of Facebook or deactivate the "stay logged in" function, delete the cookies stored on your device, and close and restart your browser. This will delete Facebook information that could be used to directly identify you. This allows you to use our fan page without revealing your Facebook ID. If you access interactive features of the page (like, comment, share, message, etc.), a Facebook login screen will appear. After logging in, you will again be identifiable to Facebook as a specific user.
