A cooperation with GLS Bank
Terre des Hommes in partnership with GLS Bank, is issuing a MasterCard. This card offers a new way to easily do good in everyday life: Every purchase made with the Terre des Hommes MasterCard supports shelters and education for girls. It doesn't cost the cardholder a cent – the bank donates a portion of its revenue to fund aid projects for girls around the world.
Pay and help with your credit card
We chose to partner with GLS Bank because it is the first bank in Germany to exclusively invest ethically and ecologically. GLS Bank does not aim to generate profits with the Terre des Hommes MasterCard. A standard MasterCard costs €30 per year. When the card is used for payments at gas stations or hotels, the bank donates one-third of the proceeds to Terre des Hommes .
The cardholder's existing bank account details can be retained. All transactions will be conveniently debited from the current account. Existing credit cards can be cancelled informally by sending a letter to the issuing bank. In some cases, separate cancellation periods may apply.
How do I get the MasterCard?
You can apply for the MasterCard directly at GLS Bank. Alternatively, you can register your interest with Terre des Hommes . You will receive further information about the card, and we will forward your request to GLS Bank.
