Local people are desperately searching for relatives and are forced to dig mass graves in many places. The need for humanitarian aid is enormous: In addition to emergency shelters, food, hygiene items, and baby formula are urgently needed to ensure the survival of the affected families.
Our partners are on site to assess the situation and initiate emergency relief measures. Food packages containing flour, rice, and beans, as well as baby food and basic equipment such as a gas stove and plates, are being prepared. However, due to the breakdown of the telephone network in the region, we are receiving only sparse information. This website will be continuously updated as new information reaches us.
