From Osnabrück to the world

Terre des Hommes opens new office in Osnabrück

A moving afternoon: Last week we celebrated the grand opening of our renovated office in Osnabrück – together with around 200 guests from the city's community, politics, volunteer organizations, and the business sector. Many thanks to everyone who was there and shared this special moment with us.

The musical opening was provided by the trombone ensemble of the Osnabrück School of Art and Music. In the subsequent panel discussion, Katharina Pötter (Mayor), Dr. Michael Welling (Managing Director of VfL Osnabrück), Markus Wiekowski (Architect), Anja Zapp (Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees), and Christian Ramm (Press Officer of Terre des Hommes ) discussed our collaboration for children worldwide and social responsibility in challenging times.

Afterwards, our themed rooms invited visitors to take tours: Our teams presented current projects and initiatives for children worldwide on display boards. This led to many stimulating conversations, new contacts, and concrete offers of support.

We are particularly grateful for the powerful exhibition. In it, young Ukrainians recount their experiences during the war. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Gestapo Cellar and Augustaschacht memorial sites, as well as the Ukrainian organization After Silence, for this collaboration.

A big thank you also goes to sec GmbH for the interior design – including an impressive world map that makes our global projects visible.

And last but not least, we thank all the companies, institutions and individuals who, through their attendance, their conversations, donations and gifts, have shown: We stand together for children's rights.
