Our name, " Terre des Hommes ," stands for "Earth of Humanity." As an independent children's rights organization, we empower children and young people and protect them from violence and exploitation through our projects. We provide humanitarian aid and support projects with local partner organizations to improve children's living conditions – in a collaborative and participatory manner. Worldwide, we support approximately 400 projects for children and young people in 47 countries. 

We are looking for someone to join our Marketing & PR  as soon as possible.

Social Media Consultant (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Social Media: You will be responsible for the strategic and editorial management of our social media channels. You will be supported by a student intern.
  • Content production: You will write and edit texts for our channels and media, always keeping up with current events. You will also be responsible for video production.
  • Project management: You plan, coordinate and manage communication projects, including agency support.
  • Social Media Trends: Using your knowledge of current trends on social media, you will test different video and static formats on our channels with a focus on reach.
  • Campaigns: You will be involved in the development and implementation of political and fundraising campaigns.
  • Reportage: They cover political actions on the ground via social media and take care of photo and video material for all Terre des Hommeschannels.

What we expect from you 

  • Strategy & Concept: You have experience in developing social media strategies and can create concepts.
  • Online marketing: You have experience in supporting and developing organic and paid online campaigns.
  • Content creation: You are proficient in writing and have initial experience in video and photo creation.
  • Creativity: You contribute creative ideas and implement them independently or as part of a team.
  • Trend awareness & current events: You are always informed about current social media trends and closely monitor political events. You can effectively use short windows of opportunity.
  • Teamwork and communication skills: You are flexible, enjoy working in a team, and proactively maintain communication with colleagues and external partners to advance ideas together.
  • Children's rights are important to you and you share the values ​​and goals of Terre des Hommes as described in our guiding principles.
