Our name, " Terre des Hommes ," stands for "Earth of Humanity." As an independent children's rights organization, we empower children and young people and protect them from violence and exploitation through our projects. We provide humanitarian aid and support projects with local partner organizations to improve the living conditions of children – in a collaborative and participatory manner. Worldwide, we support approximately 400 projects for children and young people in 47 countries.
Programs and Strategies Officer (m/f/d)
for our and Strategies for the South Asia region, to start as soon as possible. Your responsibilities
- They contribute to the strategy development for the South Asia region and bring in the perspectives of the office.
- In the regional team, you will play an active role in the further development of the programs for your region as well as in cross-departmental networking.
- They support the fundraising team through the professional use of fundraising tools.
- They strengthen networking and advocacy work on Asia-related issues in Germany.
- They work closely with the regional office, project partners and relevant networks.
- They participate in internal meetings and project-related working groups.
What we would like to see from them:
- You can demonstrate a completed degree or a comparable qualification.
- They have professional experience in development cooperation and good knowledge of the South Asia region, ideally with a focus on children's rights.
- They bring experience in project management and basic knowledge of financial management for projects abroad.
- They demonstrate intercultural competence and enjoy collaborating with partner organizations.
- They are characterized by independent, proactive work and team spirit.
- They are willing to undertake business trips to the region.
- We require good written and spoken German and English skills. Knowledge of a regional language is a plus.
- Children's rights are important to you, and you share the values and goals of Terre des Hommes , as described in our guiding principles.
