Osnabrück, June 28, 2024 – The Presidential Board of terre des hommes has appointed Larisa Machemer as the new terre des hommes Executive Board member responsible for finance, administration, and human resources. She will take up her post at the terre des hommes national headquarters in Osnabrück on July 1.
“We are delighted to have found in Larisa Machemer a board member who brings many years of experience in a management position to her new field of work. Her legal expertise as a lawyer will certainly benefit us, as will her experience in business administration, human resources and IT,” explained Regina Hewer, Chair of the Presidential Board of terre des hommes .
The 52-year-old began her career as legal counsel at the Association of the Electrical and Digital Industry. She later took on the role of Head of Finance, Human Resources, Legal Affairs, and Compliance there, and most recently, in addition to commercial management, was also responsible for IT and strategy development. "I am very much looking forward to working at the international non-governmental organization terre des hommes because I can contribute my skills and knowledge there and, at the same time, advocate for the rights of children worldwide," says Larisa Machemer.
Larisa Machemer succeeds Ursula Gille-Boussahia, who will retire after more than twenty years with terre des hommes . The other members of terre des hommes board are Beat Wehrle (Programs) and Joshua Hofert (Communications).
