Riola Xhemaili is the new ambassador for Terre des Hommes
The football player Riola Xhemaili is the new ambassador of the child rights organization Terre des Hommes. She is involved in the “A Chance to Play” program, which aims to promote the right to game worldwide. The 21 -year -old Swiss has been under contract with Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg since 2023. She also plays in the Swiss national team.
Riola Xhemaili brings her passion for sports and equality by wanting to work for equality in sports and the right to play especially for girls. »Girls experience many challenges, not just in sports. But there is also more and more acceptance for them, for example in football. When girls dare and face the challenges, they can show everyone that they are strong, ”says Riola Xhemaili.

VfL Wolfsburg, together with the Volkswagen Group Works Council, has also been supporting the "A Chance to Play" program for many years to offer children and adolescents who grow up and live around the world under difficult conditions.
