About Us

The Berlin Terre des Hommes group consists of approximately ten volunteers of all ages. Terre des Hommes founding member Erika Kammer, who received the Federal Cross of Merit in 2008 for her volunteer work, is still part of our group. As a group, we organize various activities to raise awareness of the situation of children in countries of the Global South. This is done, for example, through exhibitions, information booths, events, and educational programs in schools. 

To financially support Terre des Hommes worldwide projects, we collect donations on various occasions (e.g., through stalls at bazaars, Christmas markets, or current events).

And then there is the substantive work: In supra-regional topic groups, we discuss development policy-relevant issues with other Terre des Hommes activists from all over Germany, such as refugee children, child labor, children in armed conflicts, cultural diversity, sexual exploitation of children, German and international development policy and development education work.
