Welcome to the Terre des Hommes Frankenberg group. Our group in Frankenberg has been active since 1989. Join us!
this is us
Our group consists of five to seven women. Occasionally, two or three men also help us with our activities. We would welcome more people who actively support our work, especially in Marburg, where we are currently establishing a group.
Our main focus is on raising funds and promoting fair trade and children's rights worldwide. We are trying to get politicians on board.
Our motivation
Our motivation is to improve the living conditions of children worldwide, enabling them to live a life of dignity. We are committed to raising awareness Terre des Hommes in our community. The drop in the Terre des Hommes logo serves as both inspiration and motivation, because many small drops create an ocean of solidarity and compassion.
We do that
- We organize information booths, lectures and benefit concerts.
- We collect donations through the sale of Christmas items such as our locally known homemade angels and homemade "15-minute Advent" bags.
- We manage money change trays with Terre des Hommes logo in various stores.
- We meet every four to six weeks to plan activities and exchange current information.
Join our group
We would be delighted to gain more supporters for our work. You can, for example, help us manage the donation boxes in shops or assist with crafting our best-selling Christmas angels and 15-minute Advent bags. We produce around 1,500 of these starting in October and sell them during the Advent season to companies and social organizations, who use them to bring joy to their customers, employees, patients, and other people.
We would also welcome new ideas and active involvement in new areas. You are very welcome to contribute – to the extent that your time allows.
