Together with Matthias Huffer and Franziska Miederhoff from the NorthSouth Forum, Andrea developed the concept and created a great educational kit with materials on the topic of "Children have rights - everywhere in the world".
The materials can be used flexibly for individual units, project days or as a supplement to topics such as children's rights, diversity, global justice and sustainable development and are aimed at primary schools, after-school care centers and educational institutions with children of preschool and primary school age.
Through playful methods, children learn that they have their own rights, the difference between wishes and basic needs, that children worldwide live under different conditions, why protection, care and participation are important foundations for a good life, and that they themselves can contribute to a fairer world.
The educational work with the education kit strengthens empathy, self-confidence and the ability to take responsibility for oneself and others.
The fundamentals of democracy are practiced in a playful way, and children are supported in understanding global connections, perceiving different realities of life, and discovering their own possibilities for action.
Our motto, "Strong children – just world," comes to life through the use of the educational kit. That was reason enough for us, as the TDH-Munich team, to meet at the One World House and celebrate the completion of the kit.
