Herford: Spring meeting of the »Terre des Jeunes«

A weekend full of encounters and fresh inspiration: In mid-April, the "Terre des Jeunes" group of Terre des Hommes met in Herford. Members between the ages of 18 and 35 traveled from various locations throughout Germany to exchange ideas about their commitment in an inspiring atmosphere, learn from one another, and develop new project ideas. They discussed association matters, this year's day of action, and internal communication. Once again, it became clear how valuable personal exchange is: experiences were shared, perspectives broadened, and new ideas were generated.

With palpable motivation and a strong sense of community, the group looked ahead to the future – to planning for the year and creative activities with which they intend to raise awareness of Terre des Hommes ' issues. A particular highlight of the weekend was the "Tape Art" workshop. Participants experimented with adhesive tape as an artistic medium. Step by step, impressive works emerged that not only attracted attention but also conveyed a clear message: The designs send a powerful message against exploitative child labor and demonstrate how art can make social issues visible in the public sphere.

Despite all the valuable input, there was also plenty of fun to be had. There was a lot of laughter, time spent together, and new connections made.
