An evening dedicated to remembrance and lived democracy: Under the motto "Our future has history…", the seventh Night of Youth young people aged 12 and up to a special evening in Delmenhorst. This year, the event focused particularly on commemorating the victims of National Socialism and simultaneously promoting democracy, diversity, and civic engagement.
The event was organized in cooperation with numerous partners, including the Terre des Hommesgroup Delmenhorst-Ganderkesee. The group was present with an information booth on the rights of children and young people. The tower game on alternative development models, which illustrated the effects of a growth-oriented economy and presented possible alternatives, attracted particular interest. The game was very well received and provided an opportunity for discussion on the topic.
A total of 38 institutions and associations participated, creating a diverse program with booths, presentations, interactive activities, and stage performances. The Night of Youth offered young people the opportunity to learn about various topics, contribute their own ideas, and connect with others.
