Under bright sunshine, over a hundred children attended the festive opening of the children's rights learning trail. The Delmenhorst Children's and Youth Parliament, together with Mayor Petra Gerlach, inaugurated the trail, which features ten information panels, in the garden of the Villa Family Center. The children's rights learning trail, created by the German Children's Fund, invites visitors to take a stroll and conveys the most important rights of children and young people in an interactive way.
With the support of the Terre des Hommes group Delmenhorst-Ganderkesee, the Children's and Youth Parliament intensively prepared and implemented the project over an extended period. Bureaucratic hurdles along the way were also overcome. The opening once again impressively demonstrated how young people actively shape their environment and stand up for their rights.
