Ganderkesee: Girls' Day

Superheroes - that was the motto of the girls' day, which took place in the Delmenhorst market hall the day before International Women's Day and coincidentally on Equal Pay Day.

Our Terre des Hommes group Delmenhorst-Ganderkesee had put their heads together beforehand and come up with something special: For International Women's Day, all girls should celebrate themselves and focus on what is still too rare and, above all, often undiscovered in the world: true heroines!

The group members had devised a well-rounded program: They presented superheroines in the form of young environmental activists from Terre des Hommes projects worldwide in a poster exhibition. There were also quizzes with questions about children's rights, female roles, and Equal Pay Day. The younger girls enthusiastically participated in a hidden picture activity, where they had to find sections of the image and match them to the corresponding children's rights. The Terre des Hommes children's rights memory game was also played extensively. A big thank you to all the superheroines who made this day so special!
