Terre des Hommes at the Basketball World Cup

Off the court, a powerful issue was at the forefront of the Women's Basketball World Cup: children's rights. Terre des Hommes was present with its own stand in the official FanZone outside the arena in Berlin and used the opportunity to raise awareness with its message: Speak up for children's rights!

Experiencing children's rights

In our "Future Box" and with the exhibition "Children Have Rights Everywhere in the World," visitors to the FanZone were able to discover children's rights in a vivid and engaging way. The booth provided a space for encounters and conversations – many fans took the opportunity to learn more and talk to us.

The focus was on our "Get Active" project by Discover Football, which specifically supports refugee girls and women and opens up new perspectives for them through sport. We also presented other projects through which Terre des Hommes advocates for the rights and well-being of children worldwide.

Fun and knowledge at the wheel of fortune

A particular highlight was our wheel of fortune: with exciting questions about children's rights, it provided plenty of fun and also imparted important knowledge. Combined with the special atmosphere of the Basketball World Cup, this created an afternoon full of encounters, exchanges, and of course, plenty of basketball vibes.
