Help children in Lebanon

The war in Lebanon is escalating daily. Over a million people are fleeing the violence. The displaced lack everything. They need food, water, hot meals, hygiene products, mattresses, blankets, and clothing. According to the UN, more than 100,000 people have already crossed the border into Syria. Among them are many Syrian families who had sought refuge in Lebanon, but also Lebanese citizens.

FEMALE, our partner organization on the ground, is currently providing urgently needed aid to children and their families – even though it is itself affected: Two of the community centers where FEMALE normally runs projects for girls have been hit by bombs. The center in the town of Deir el Zahrani in southern Lebanon was completely destroyed. The center in the Bekaa Valley in the east was severely damaged. The staff have fled with their families.

The many refugees are dependent on emergency shelters. Therefore, FEMALE is now using the remaining community centers in Beirut and Tripoli to help these people. Here they have a safe haven and are provided with food, drinking water, hygiene products, medicine, bedding, blankets, and mattresses. Terre des Hommes is also planning to provide aid to refugees in Syria.

The concern that there will be numerous civilian casualties in Lebanon as a result of attacks on Hezbollah is shared by all our partners in Lebanon.

Please help the children and their families!
