160 million girls and boys work worldwide. Half of them under conditions that are dangerous and exploitative: they pick cotton on pesticide -contaminated fields, dig gold, mica or iron ore in narrow, unsecured shafts, they to work in factories twelve hours a day. There is no time for school and game.
The terre of the Hommes exhibition "Ending exploitation" provides information about exploitative child labor on large banners. It focuses on mining, textile industry and agriculture. We also present our demands in the field of fair trade, EU supply chain law and our project work on these exhibition banners.
The Terre of the Hommes Group Ludwigsburg shows the exhibition from May 26th as part of a cooperation event. Until 16.06.2025 in the foyer of the Ludwigsburg cultural center .

On , the exhibition opening will take place at 5:30 p.m. After the greeting by Karl Herrigel (Terre des Hommes) and a greeting by Renate Schmetz, the first mayor and chair of the Fairtrade-Stadt steering group, the specialist lecture »Mica: Glimmer with dark pages« by Katharina Debring (Terre des Hommes) .
The Mineral Mica is in numerous everyday products such as cosmetics, colors, cars and smartphones - but is obtained under inhumane conditions in countries such as India and Madagascar. The lecture illuminates the background, shows options for companies and responds to the importance of the EU Lief chain law.
