Nicaragua: Strengthen the right to healthy environment

Nicaragua is one of the poorest countries of Latin America. Many families lack the money to send their children to school. The result: many children, especially girls, can hardly read and therefore have little chance of escaping poverty. There is also practically no environmental awareness: forests are cut down, drinking water is dirty, garbage is illegally disposed of. With their support, our projects provide environmental education and support girls on their way to equality.
