El Salvador: Protecting children and young people from violence

Violence is omnipresent in El Salvador. Criminal gangs control many areas and recruit young people who are often both perpetrators and victims. Terre des Hommes is working to combat this violence. In safe spaces, children and young people who have experienced violence receive therapeutic support. They learn to resolve conflicts peacefully and find alternatives to a life of crime.
