In the world's fifth-largest economy, most people live in extreme poverty. Child labor is widespread, many children don't attend school and, without education, lose all opportunities in life, and girls are married off at a young age. Added to this are environmental problems such as massive CO₂ emissions and polluted rivers. Terre des Hommes supports projects against exploitation, for education, and for a healthy environment.
