Get involved for a topic
Would you like to get involved with Terre des Hommes specifically to address an issue that is particularly important to you?
In addition to local Terre des Hommes groups in cities across Germany, there are thematic groups that operate across regions. Volunteers and full-time staff work together in these groups on children's rights issues. In line with our strategic goals, we work together on issues and build background knowledge on children's rights.
The groups meet several times a year in central locations in Germany. Positions and demands are developed, joint actions and action material are developed and organized.
Our current themed groups
The group develops and develops contemporary development policy positions for alternative development.
This thematic group offers an action forum and a networking platform for Terre des Hommes activists who are committed to helping refugee children across Germany.
The members of this group deal with the situation of child soldiers. They receive position to recruit minors by the Bundeswehr and to German arms exports in public.
Children suffer from environmental pollution and its consequences. The group focuses on children's right to a healthy environment and participates in the further development of Terre des Hommes ' positions and campaigns.
Communication on social media channels is essential for raising awareness of children's rights in society and politics. Our Social Media topic group, as a "digital support" group, supports our local Terre des Hommes groups and active members in their social media activities.
Terre of the Jeunes Group is available for young committed people . It is a network for young people between 18 and 35 who want to actively work for the rights of children and adolescents.
