Thailand is a popular travel destination and has experienced economic growth in recent decades. However, in many regions, children still suffer from poverty and exploitation, and many are denied access to education. Particularly in the north of the country, children grow up stateless and without identification papers – for example, because they belong to indigenous groups or their families came to the country as refugees.
