Lebanon: Emergency aid and support for refugees

Economic crises and widespread poverty characterize the lives of people in Lebanon. Many children grow up in extremely difficult conditions. Political instability and corruption have shaken the population's trust in state institutions. The country has been particularly hard hit by the conflict between the radical Islamist Hezbollah militia and neighboring Israel, which has claimed thousands of lives.
