Western Sahara: Perspectives for young people

Since 1975, the unresolved conflict around Western Sahara is forcing around 160,000 Sahrauis to live in Algerian camps. The conditions are extreme: there are temperatures up to 50 degrees, the resources are scarce. Many young people are despair of lack of future prospects. Terre des Hommes is involved in the Smara refugee camp. In 21 centers, young people learn languages, craft and horticulture and thus create new opportunities.
