Even over fifty years after the first art auction by Terre des Hommes in 1969 in Stuttgart, the concept works: The auction in early February in the Württemberg Art Association provided a very good result with around 50,000 euros. This success was made possible by generous donations from 120 artists, 30 galleries and private collectors who made a total of 256 works available, and a highly committed team on a voluntary basis around the organizers Annegret and Erich Junginger. Thank you very much for this great commitment.
Around 400 artists who were interested in art persecuted the auction and offered enthusiastically for works of art by well -known artists such as Jürgen Brodwolf, Karl Duschek, Heidi Foerster, Hap Grieshaber, David Hockney, Horst Peter Schlotter, Anton Stankowski and Jan Peter Tripp as well as for works young emerging arts. The proceeds flow into a project in northern India that ensures children and adolescents away from exploitative work in mica mines.
