Alnatura coffee promotes social project

Fair coffee - fair partnership

Peru is severely affected by climate change and the livelihood of the indigenous population is very endangered. Her culture is also becoming more and more lost. With a type of coffee, Alnatura therefore supports a social project by Terre des Hommes: from every pack of "Peru Cafe" that you buy, 40 cents flow into an educational project in Peru.

"The long -term cooperation between Alnatura and Terre des Hommes in Peru means that children and adolescents have access to education and the knowledge of environmentally friendly agriculture is sustainably strengthened."
Beat Wehrle, Board of Directors Programs, Terre des Hommes

Educational project in Peru

Peru is severely affected by climate change, which gives rise to the livelihood of the indigenous population, especially in rural areas. The indigenous culture is also increasingly lost. In order to counteract this, the "Sumak Kawsay" project by Terre des Hommes should bring the traditional knowledge of the Peruvian indigenous people living there to sustainable agriculture and their own culture - as an important basis to secure nutrition and income.

That is why this project promotes the protection of cultural identity, the preservation of traditional craftsmanship, the cultivation of domestic plants and variety of seeds and strengthens cross -generational learning.
