Ganderkesee: Girls Day

Superheldinnen-that was the motto of the girls' day, which took place the day before international women's day and by chance at the Equal Pay Day in the Delmenhorster market hall.

Our Terre des Hommes group in Delmenhorst-Ganderkesee had put their heads together beforehand and thought of something special: For International Women's Day, all girls should celebrate and focus on what there is still too little of in the world and, above all, what often goes undiscovered: real heroines!

The group members had devised a comprehensive program for this: Superheroines, represented by young environmental activists from Terre des Hommes projects around the world, were presented as a poster exhibition. There were also raffles with questions about children's rights, female roles, and Equal Pay Day. The younger girls participated with joy and interest in a hidden object activity, in which they could locate image fragments and match them to children's rights. The Terre des Hommes Children's Rights Memory Game was also intensively played. Cheers to all the superheroines who made this day special!
