Strong partnership for a strong future

Terre des hommes & Dachser SE

Since 2005, Dachser SE and Terre des Hommes have been connected to a strong partnership that improves the life of children worldwide. As an internationally active logistics company, Dachs takes responsibility - for society, for the environment and for the future of the next generation. Together we are committed to children's rights, education and climate protection.

Together for children's rights and climate protection

Our cooperation focuses on projects in South Asia, southern Africa, Latin America and Ukraine, which promote the well -being of children and adolescents. A special focus is on strengthening youth groups that actively work for their rights, education and protection of their environment. Thanks to the support of Dachser SE, young people get the opportunity to make their future and that of their communities themselves and to make them sustainable.

»The people in emerging and developing countries meet climate change with great force. Here we would like to get involved on site to maintain and improve the livelihoods of children and adolescents. «
Bernhard Simon Chairman of the Supervisory Board Dachser SE

Climate protection is child protection

With the long -term corporate Citizen+ (CC+) partnership between Dachser, Terre des Hommes and myclimate, innovative climate protection projects are implemented worldwide that specifically strengthen children and adolescents. In countries such as India, Nepal, Bolivia and Mozambique, so-called "community projects" create access to clean water, sustainable agriculture and healthy living conditions. In this way, climate protection and children's rights are connected - because every child has the right to a healthy environment. Together we are committed to sustainable, socially acceptable solutions that improve the living conditions of children worldwide.

Our projects - create changes together

Asia

In the remote, mountainous Bajura district in Nepal, the Human Resource Center is working to ensure that children and young people have access to high -quality education and new future opportunities. Schools are equipped with modern teaching materials and a child -friendly learning environment are created so that they learn joy and girls are specifically encouraged. At the same time, the project supports young people in acquiring practical skills and finding new ways to secure business.

In the metropolises Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh, our partners Vacha and Muskaan are strengthened and indigenous and indigenous young people who are often excluded from state support. Young leaders are trained to educate their communities about discrimination and social exclusion and to mobilize hundreds of other young people. Together they help families to get access to social benefits and actively campaign against gender -specific disadvantage - including together in joint sport. This creates strong networks that give young people a voice and new opportunities.

With our partner Rights Beyond Borders, around 950 refugee children and young people from Myanmar are supported who have fled to Thailand before violence and uncertainty. You will receive psychosocial help, protection and are strengthened in your rights to process traumatic experiences and to draw new hope. Young refugees are trained as advocates for children's rights and help to network and support their communities. Through targeted training and workshops, you will learn to actively work for the rights and protection of children.

Africa

The Catholic Institute of Education (CIE) supports unemployed young people in disadvantaged districts of the province of Gauteng in acquiring market -oriented skills and finding their way into the world of work. In practical training and with targeted support, young women and men are made fit for starting their career - whether in the formal or informal sector. Young people, particularly entrepreneurial, also receive training in the field of start -ups and are accompanied on their way.

The Outreach Foundation in Johannesburg and rural regions of South Africa supports disadvantaged and refugee young people - many of them without official status or access to education - through the imparting of adaptable professional skills, promoting entrepreneurship and psychosocial support. Young mothers and migrants in particular receive targeted help to develop new perspectives for themselves and their children. Workshops, mentoring and legal advice encourage you to take your future into your own hands and break through the cycle of poverty and exclusion.

In Livingstone, Zambia, young people transform garbage into a source of income with the "Trash for Cash" initiative: they collect, sort and sell recycling companies on recycling companies. The idea arose through a youth exchange with Germany and has sustainably strengthened awareness of environmental protection in the city. More and more families are taking part, the streets are getting cleaner and the young people secure their own income. The project continues to grow and also inspires other cities, environmental protection and entrepreneurship.

Sambia: Creating an income with environmental protection

Latin America

In Ayacucho's highlands, Quechua youth learn how to supply their communities with clean water with innovative rainwater storage. Young indigenous women in particular are strengthened to pass on their knowledge of water extraction, sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurship. In this way, you not only improve health and quality of life on site, but are also committed to your environmental rights. The project is a role model for sustainable development and inspires other regions for imitation.

Peru: Resilience against climate change

Cedeca in Brazil is a point of contact for children who grow up in difficult situations. Here you will receive legal advice, psychosocial support and protection against violence. The team is committed to the rights of the children and accompanies them on their way to a safe life. So the children learn that they are not alone.

Our partner Apadim in Córdoba is committed to ensuring that children and young people with and without disabilities become active “environmental citizens”. They learn to defend their right to a clean and healthy environment and are committed together for sustainable changes in their districts, which are shaped by environmental problems. Through workshops, campaigns and political educational work, they are strengthened to reduce barriers and to stand up for more participation and environmental protection. This creates an inclusive movement that fights for environmental justice and social change.

Solidarity with Ukraine

The war in Ukraine has sold millions of people, including many children, from their homeland. Since the first days of the war, Dachser, together with Terre des Hommes, has helped quickly and unbureaucratically: Urgently needed humanitarian goods have been provided via relief goods transports to the Ukrainian border. In cooperation with the partner organizations Libereco and Vostok SOS, internally displaced children, young people and their families received psychosocial support from trained therapists - around 4,000 children were supported. In addition, safe recreational rooms and emergency training offers were created to give children protection and stability.
