Action Day 2025: Strengthening Children's Rights

On November 20, International Children's Rights Day, Terre des Hommes draws attention to the dramatic situation of refugee children: Almost 50 million children are on the run worldwide - more than ever before since the Second World War. 

As safe and legal escape routes become scarce, many countries are closing their borders and their hearts. Together, we are taking to the streets for safe escape routes, reliable protection, and social inclusion—because every child counts, no matter where they come from!

We are also highlighting universal children's rights. These are enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and apply to every child—regardless of origin, gender, or religion. They are designed to ensure children have the opportunity to develop, express their opinions, and actively participate in society. Children have rights—everywhere in the world!
