Young women in Afghanistan are taking great risks to stay connected to the world and express their hope during one of the darkest periods in Afghan history. The "Hope in Darkness" makes their voices and perspectives visible. The artworks were secretly brought from Afghanistan to Germany at great personal risk.
The local libraries in Feuerbach, Degerloch, and Zuffenhausen will each display a selection of the Afghan women's paintings. In Degerloch, there will be a small event with Afghan finger food November 7, at 3:30 p.m.
