Even more than fifty years after Terre des Hommes ' first art auction in Stuttgart in 1969, the concept is still working: The auction at the Württembergischer Kunstverein in early February generated a very strong result of approximately €50,000. This success was made possible by generous donations from 120 artists, 30 galleries, and private collectors, who provided a total of 256 works, and a highly dedicated team of volunteers led by organizers Annegret and Erich Junginger. Many thanks for this tremendous commitment.
Around 400 artists who were interested in art persecuted the auction and offered enthusiastically for works of art by well -known artists such as Jürgen Brodwolf, Karl Duschek, Heidi Foerster, Hap Grieshaber, David Hockney, Horst Peter Schlotter, Anton Stankowski and Jan Peter Tripp as well as for works young emerging arts. The proceeds flow into a project in northern India that ensures children and adolescents away from exploitative work in mica mines.
