Our name, " Terre des Hommes ," stands for "Earth of Humanity." As an independent children's rights organization, we empower children and young people and protect them from violence and exploitation through our projects. We provide humanitarian aid and support projects with local partner organizations to improve children's living conditions – in a collaborative and participatory manner. Worldwide, we support approximately 400 projects for children and young people in 47 countries. 

We are looking for a Donor Engagement team member for our fundraising department to start as soon as possible.

Specialist for Direct and Digital Fundraising (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Conceptualization and management of online fundraising campaigns to acquire new donors – from ideation and creation to reporting and optimization. This includes, among other things, social media ads (meta, Google, Pinterest, TikTok), landing pages, and banner advertising, always in conjunction with other fundraising measures.
  • Planning, coordination and further development of the direct mailing program as well as conception, text creation, design and implementation of our in-house and external list mailings including inserts and innovative, cross-media formats.
  • Project management and agency management: Coordination of external service providers and close collaboration with internal departments such as marketing, programs and finance.
  • Budget responsibility: Planning, controlling and monitoring the budget within one's own area of ​​responsibility, as well as responsibility for achieving revenue targets.
  • Utilizing creative freedom: visibly advance Terre des Hommes ' donor communication

What we expect from you 

  • Solid experience in fundraising and in the implementation of successful online campaigns, and a strong understanding of convincing donor communication.
  • Conceptual thinking: They develop target group-oriented measures while keeping an eye on numbers, impact and the entire donor journey.
  • Creativity and writing skills: You can formulate content for various channels – clearly, empathetically and engagingly.
  • Analytical skills: You can interpret campaign data, draw conclusions, and derive optimization strategies.
  • A high level of initiative and enjoyment in developing innovative fundraising approaches and implementing them together with your teammates.
  • They are fluent in German and English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Children's rights are important to you and you share the values ​​and goals of Terre des Hommes as described in our guiding principles.
