Osnabrück, May 3, 2022 - Joshua Hofert's Presidium of Hommes has appointed Joshua Hofert to the new board of directors. He takes office in the federal office of Terre des Hommes in Osnabrück on June 1st.
»We are pleased to have found a child rights expert with Joshua Hofert, who has an extraordinary communicative competence and a knowledge of political processes at a young age and also knows our project work in many regions of the world from his own view. With it we will continue to sharpen the political profile of Terre des Hommes and campaign for the enforcement of the rights of children worldwide, «explained Regina Hewer, chairwoman of the Hommes Presidium.
The 26-year-old has previously worked as head of politics and programs at Terre des Hommes and was previously a member of the volunteer Terre of the Hommes Presidium, the club's supervisory board.
»Terre des Hommes is used more than ever - as a strong and independent voice at the side of the children. This is shown by the war against Ukraine with its dramatic consequences, especially for children and families on site. At the same time, he tightens global crises and thus meets people far beyond Europe who suffer from poverty, hunger and the consequences of the climate crisis. My goal as a board will be that Terre des Hommes gets more support through donations and commitment to help where it is most necessary, «said Joshua Hofert.
Hofert will be the successor of Birte Kötter, whom Hommes left in February of this year. The terre of the Hommes board is therefore completely in terms of personnel; Other board members are Beat Wehrle (programs) and Ursula Gille-Bussahia (finance/administration/personnel).
