The full playback theatre is currently on tour, delighting more than 40,000 people across Germany with witty punchlines, spot-on dialogue, and surprising quotes. On Friday evening, the actors performed the play "The Three Investigators and the Curse of the Ruby" in the sold-out Osnabrück town hall.
As a special highlight, a check for €6,541 was presented to Terre des Hommes at the end of the show. The donation supports projects against exploitative child labor.
“We actors want to share the joy we feel while working, so after each performance we collect donations related to the play's theme. Our current play is about the search for a red ruby. The connection to gemstone mining and child labor was quickly made. Terre des Hommes has been working against exploitative labor for decades, and we are happy to contribute to improving the lives of many children,” says David J. Becher of Vollplaybacktheater.
“This shows once again that entertaining and helping disadvantaged children are not mutually exclusive. We thank the artists for their wonderful commitment and are delighted with their creative support, which enables children in our projects to attend school,” said Angela Pfropfreis of Terre des Hommes .
