Exhibition: Everyday life in the accommodation - Seeing through children's eyes

Berlin

One in three asylum applications in Germany comes from a child or young person. Many of these young people are fleeing war, violence, and poverty – and are seeking protection and new prospects. However, in Germany, they often experience insecurity, cramped accommodation, and a lack of support. Studies show that the reception system hinders integration and violates children's rights.

The exhibition "No Place for Children" presents their perspective. Children and young people from a state reception center (LAB) documented their daily lives with disposable cameras – directly, honestly, and movingly. Their photos offer an authentic glimpse into the lives of young refugees. The exhibition also features portraits of four other partner organizations of Terre des Hommes .

with a panel discussion on the accommodation situation of children seeking protection in Berlin on December 10th at 5 pm. You are warmly invited to participate and visit the exhibition!
